Procrastinating

Why do we do it?  It puts us in a bind with our backs against the wall.  Stress is now even higher and our scapegoat: "I work better under pressure."  Is the work really that hard once we get into it?

Boxing: Roy Jones Jr. and Bernard Hopkins II

Should Roy be back in the ring?  When was his last high caliber fight?  Don't get me wrong, I love Jones but I hate to see him go down again, especially against someone he has solidly defeated in the past.  I don't want him to be a Michael Jordan of boxing.

Movie Review: Clash of the Titans

If you are looking for an epic adventure, this is not it. It is a good movie to escape reality and be kinda entertained.  There is not enough figting or sword play. It is particularly good as a prequel for more to come.   Therefore, I give it a C+

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightening Thief

Movie Review:
This movie is entertaining for the whole family or just adults who want to be entertained and are into Greek mythology.  It is fun and an escape from reality. Take the movie in its context!  It is light and entertaining, not Clash of theTitans which is a movie must see! Along with Iron Man 2 and The Prince of Persia and The Last Airbender.  So, if you want fun and carefree entertainment with children, teens, and adults, then this is a go to movie.  B+

Kate Gosselin: Hair and Book

Who cares about Kate Gosselin's hair or another book,"I just want you to know."  Know what?  I don't care.  What about the kids in all this hype and publicity.  The money train is over, and it looks like a freak circus show at this point.  It's not even good enough to be comic relief.  We should treat them like people who go on the field at sporting events and not show them on tv, or a magazine, or a tabloid.  It makes me sick!

The Edge of Darkness: Movie Review

Mel Gibson's new movie, The Edge of Darkness, is horrible.  It deserves an F- if that is possible.  It was slow, little to no action.  He is no Detective Riggs here!  He is simple, simple Jack.  Please do not waste your money, time, and life on this material called a movie.  Never do you feel bad for this man in the movie, no heart strings, no flutter, no adreneline.  I almost walked out but continued to hope it would get better and action would finally take place, NO!!! I would much rather look at the separated wings of a dead fly move across a table in 90 degree heat with no water or powerade than watch this movie again. Also, you can see that Gibson shows age and not with grace. He will not be able to support his ex or his new girlfriend and child with movies like this!

Do you want to be entertained, enthralled, and thinking at the same time?  Then this is it!  The Book of Eli is a smart, smooth film with the perfect array of characters and subtalties (smelled wrong I know).  A+ 
A must buy film first day it comes out. 
A perfection in every aspect of film making.

NFL Playoffs

I am a bad sport. I almost have heart attacks when my team does no win.  For me, the NFL season is over and no reason exists to watch until the pre-season.  The Dallas Cowboys have come to an unfortunate end this season, though I know that next year we will take the whole thing, for yesterday's loss was only fuel, ammunition to drive us all the way next year.  This is not opinion but fact.
